Supernatural Beginnings

So today marks the beginning of my second semester abroad. It wasn't all that difficult as I only had one class and it was at 3 in the afternoon! Yay for sleeping in, mornings aren't for me. I took the bus to my Writing for Performance class and was surprised it's at the "Science and Architecture" building. I have the same teacher as I did for my Screenwriting class last semester which is awesome. I'm planning to write a sequel to the story I wrote for Screenwriting. Should be good fun!

Did you see that shot?!

Slideshow Time!

Here's a cool TV-style slideshow courtesy of Photobucket! Enjoy!

The Sims 3...Generations?

So it's pretty much out in the open now. The much anticipated fourth expansion pack for The Sims 3 will be named Generations. If you go to the text only version of the official Sims 3 website you'll find this at the bottom of the page:

You have successfully registered your The Sims 3 Generations game.

Download your FREE* Set Name now! With Generations, Sims of every age can enjoy new activities! Kids can hang out with friends in tree houses. Teens can pull hilarious pranks. Adults can suffer midlife crises. And so much more!"

This looks promising. One of the biggest complaints about The Sims 3 is that there's isn't much stuff for sims to do unless they're adults. Personally, I've only had a baby once in my game because it was just so boring to go through the baby-teen stages. It wasn't that great in The Sims 2 but it's even worse in 3. Kinda sad. Can't imagine a schoolyard without hopscotch, basketball hoops, or jump rope? Play The Sims 3 and you will then.

A world that's supposed to simulate real life but is always sunny and has no dogs or cats just doesn't make any sense. Please let pets or weather be in this one EA. :P

Technical Difficulties...

So as a gift, my parents had my MacBook's memory upgraded to 4 GB. However, instead of making things made things worse! I got lots of random freezes (there was no possible way to reproduce the freezes and it could happen within 5 minutes or an hour. The only way to speed up the process was to play The Sims 3) and the only improvement I noticed was much smoother performance with The Sims 3 before freezing (though loading times stayed the same length). I went back to the computer store to get it repaired and I just got it back today after nearly 2 weeks. Now the problems haven't completely disappeared, only lessened. After the first 3 or 4 hours the MacBook froze again when only Firefox and iTunes were open. Yeah...pretty annoying. At least the freezing is very rare though, and it's only happened with YouTube videos in Firefox so far.

I may buy The Sims 3 Outdoor Living Stuff sometime this week. From what I've seen, it doesn't seem to be as good as the previous stuff packs but there's still some nice stuff. A stereo inside of a rock? So cool. Right now I'm in the process of restarting my sims game in Hanogi Port, a city kind of like Bridgeport except the former has much more space. Can't wait until I have a decent amount of sims moved in, it should be awesome!
